Carrie Kray, LCSW, CSAT Candidate

Carrie is a licensed clinical social worker with over 33 years in the behavioral health field. She has training in “bottom-up” modalities such as EMDR through the EMDR Institute, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.), Post Induction Therapy (PIT), Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST)/IFS Informed Therapy, Somatic Informed Tools, Neuro-Affective Relational Model (NARM) informed approaches, as well as Experiential, and Psychodrama techniques.
She also has training and experience in “top-down” modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Tools, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Additionally, she can incorporate Christian Counseling for those that request this.
Believing in a holistic approach, she is mindful of mind, body, and spirit and their interconnectedness. Her compassion comes from a place of having known challenging places herself. She works to create a safe, supportive environment for individuals to explore their inner worlds without judgement or expectations, be heard and seen, and move forward at a pace comfortable for them. She specializes in trauma resolution whether that be a major event or a series of events layered over time. She also is CSAT candidate with training to address sex addictions, love addiction/love avoidance and betrayal trauma.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, kayaking, hiking, being a bit of a “gym rat”, all things wellness, spending time with family and friends, board games, and being a life-long learner.
“My story may be different, but I’ve been in challenging places too. I consider it an honor to give back some of what was given to me.”
